Today I would like to talk about a blog named “Bullying among Housewives”.

First of all, I would like to discuss the visual image of this blog. The author mainly uses blue and white for this blog. In addition, because this blog is Ameba Blog, the author has a character that looks like her. I think that by having broad image of the author, reader can feel familiar to the author. Because the bullying is a sensitive issue, I think that it is significant to open readers’ mind. Hence, I think that the author takes advantage of Ameba Blog to talk about a sensitive issue.

Secondly, I think that the purpose of this blog is to tell the story of her life. In her blog, she writes what happened to her life, what she felt about her situation. However, her main focus of the story is her situation of being bullied by her neighborhood housewives since 265 posts out of 299 posts is about bullying. Her intended audience may be people who are also bullied by their neighbors since she leaves some comments to encourage people who are also bullied. However, in her blog she states that she want this blog to be an opportunity for people to think about bullying among adults. Therefore, she may also want this blog to be read by people who are bullying somebody or do not have any interest in thinking about bullying seriously.
